Michael O’Neill is a writer and former priest, school superintendent, academic, and peace activist. He has published ten books and more than a hundred articles and essays. His short story “Lilli” appears in the May 2016 issue of Reed Magazine, the oldest literary journal west of the Mississippi River. He has completed a novel, Lilli’s Question.
Michael was a professor and administrator at the University of San Francisco for nearly forty years and also taught at the University of Notre Dame and Boston College. He has a master’s degree from Catholic University of America and a doctorate from Harvard University, both in education. He spent 1982 working in the California nuclear weapons freeze campaign.
